The splendid Val Venosta is a famous tourist destination for those who love skiing. There are modern lift systems and pistes suitable for all standards, both for downhill and cross-country skiing. In spring, instead, the mountain peaks still covered with snow make a fascinating contrast with the expanses of blossoming apple trees all over the Adige valley. Finally, the summer is the best season for those who love walking and excursions which allow one to fully enjoy the beauty of these mountains. This valley includes the Stelvio National Park where one can ski also in summer. At Naturno, on a rocky spur at the opening of the Senales valley the Castle Juval is to be found, dating back to the 13th century. Then the attractive towns and small mountain villages, the gothic and baroque churches and the characteristic buildings along the roads should not be neglected. |
