Treviso is a city of great cultural and artistic interest. A distinctive feature of the city are the numerous frescoed buildings, which are widespread in the whole centre and make Treviso the most important site in Northern Italy for external decorations. Furthermore, its gastronomy has always played an important role both in the city, where you find many inns and restaurants, and throughout the whole province. The horticulture is particularly appreciated, especially the production of the red radicchio (chicory). In June treviso hosts the international competition of lyric singers. |
