This is a heavily forested area, rich in rare fauna: in particular the Sardinian stag, that is still found amongst the woods of holm-oak that alternates with dense bush. Along the northern sector of the coast, the mountains leave space to a coastal plain, that stretches from Villaputzu to San Vito. The area is famous for its rich agriculture, citrus fruits especially. |
