The seaside resorts situated north of the long Roman coast are: Civitavecchia, where there is the ferry-boat service for Sardinia, and Santa Marinella, with the San Severa beach. Ladispoli, Fregene and Lido di Ostia are the nearest seaside resorts to Rome and therefore, they are the Romans' favourite sites for one day's holiday off the capital. Southwards, you find the beaches of Anzia and Nettuno. |
