Along the shoreline of the “ascolana riviera” the mediterranean vegetation and the citrus groves still survive. The coast has long beaches of fine sand and well equipped seaside resorts. In San Benedetto del Tronto the 7000 palms, on its long promenade, give the town a particular tropical charm. Cupra Marittima is an old-fashioned seaside back-water with a sandy beach that is an ideal place for families. Pedaso is a popular resort for skin-diving, famous also for its mussels. |
