This lower region, to the south of Sassari, is worth visiting for many reasons. As regards archaeology, one should visit the Nuraghe of Santu Antine, one of the most imposing and famous in Sardinia. There is also a well in the courtyard which rises near Torralba where one can also visit the Valle dei Nuraghi Museum. Thiesi is an important centre for its milk and dairy products. Benetutti is an important thermal resort that offers a wide range of therapies. |
