For a good three thousand years all the Iglesiente has lived in close relationship with the mines, from the first Nuragic excavations up to the exploitation in Punic and Roman times with the work of slaves, and in medieval times, under the Pisans. Today these localities have a particular fascination: the ruins of the abandoned plants, in places that are often wild, and always lonely and impressive, are surrounded by an unexpectedly beautiful nature. |
