The Gran Paradiso National Park is a naturalistic itinerary of exceptional interest. Here, where nature remains complete and unspoilt, it is possible to admire the grace of a running chamois or the agility of an ibex clearing difficult passes among rocks, or to find oneself surrounded by a herd of male ibex as they gather towards the close of day to nibble the grass in the dales. The ideal time to admire flora is in the month of July when the mountains are in full bloom. The park is also the ideal world for mountaineers, rock climbers, and skiers. Indeed, there are many km of country cross tracks. |
