The river Brembo will accompany the visitor along his journey. Refuges, camps, peaks, alpine lakes and passes all offer a wide variety of destinations for mountain lovers during the one or two day summer excursions along the Orobie path linking Val Brembana to Val Seriana. The peaks of the Brembo are ideal in winter for snow lovers, with Foppolo the most renowned of its ski resorts that also include Piazzatorre and Carona. Chosen for film sets by such famous directors as Federico Fellini and Dino Risi, San Pellegrino Terme is an elegant town with many Liberty-style buildings and a great Casinò inaugurated in 1907. Its water and orange squash is known all over the world for its distinctive five-pointed star trademark. |
