This itinerary goes through the so-called cellar of Samnium where are produced most of the controlled origin wines in Campania: Salopaca, Aglianico, and Falanghina. The itinerary starts from Solopaca, where the Ducal Palace, the Parish church and the Fairy House can be visited. The following place is Telese Terme, a modern and well-equipped spa centre, where the Spa Buildings should be visited together with the remains of the ancient cathedral and the nearby suggestive small lake. The itinerary of Caudine valley starts from Apollosa and continues going to Montesarchio, with its beautiful historical centre, the church of Annunziata, the 17th century Chapel of Avalos and the church of San Francesco. Pottery and lace are the highest expression of Samnite handicraft. |
