Here the countryside is a marvel in itself. The maremma Nature Park was set up in 1975 and stretches over the coast of the Tuscan Maremma from Principina Mare up to Talamone. The Uccellina mountains dominate the whole of the central and southern part, reaching the highest point at an altitude of 417 metres at Pogio Lecci, from where it is possible to admire a striking panorama. Raching the marvellous Mount Argentario, you will find the ancient Orbetello, Porto San Stefano and Porto Ercole, plunged in a rich mediterranean vegetation. |
