Rieti is an ancient and noble town with attractive palaces where in the past the families of Roman nobility, popes and emperors used to stay. Rieti is encircled by medieval well-preserved walls. Nearby there are two lakes: Ripa Sottile e Lungo enclosed in a natural park. The winter resort called Monte Terminillo has 50 km of ski-tracks and 20 km of cross-country pistes. |
