Pesaro is both an appealing seaside resort and a thriving commercial town. Pesaro offers many attractions: fine uncrowded beaches, great fish, and good shops. Italy's great opera composer Gioacchino Rossini was born here in 1792. In fact, in August Pesaro hosts the annual Rossini opera festival which has earned a world-wide reputation. Fano is a lively seaside resort, a busy fishing port and an ancient town with a beguiling old center. |
