South of Palermo there is the fertile plain called Conca d'Oro, where the Arabs built splendid palaces in the IX century. During the XVII and XVIII centuries the Conca d'Oro became the residential area of Palermo's noble families. Nearby there is the feudal town of Borgetto and the beautiful Corleone. Ficuzza is a stupendous almost mythical wood on the north face of Rocca Busambra, between Palermo and Corleone. |
