Towards the north the gently sloping hills of Garda rise unexpectedly, which not only have natural beauty, but also historical interest. On the atmospheric lakes of Mantua tourists boats bollow the lower course of the Mincio. These boats pass through San Benedetto, Revere, Ferrara over to Venice and into the Adriatic Sea. In 1984 the Parco del Mincio was set up in order to safeguard zones of great naturalistic value. |
