This itinerary explores the valleys of the rivers Secchia, Spezzano and Panaro, with their never ending variety of castles, noble villas, ancient towers and churches in a landscape of wooded hills, rocky spurs and picturesque hilltop towns. Before returning to Modena, the road goes to Vignola, home of the finest cherries in Italy and just a short drive from Maranello, headquarter of Ferrari anf their famous red Formula One racing cars. At Vignola, every year, the blossoming of the cherry trees is celebrated. |
