The Tavoliere is one of the largest granaries in Italy, stretches out like a carpet made up of ever-changing colours: from the intense green of the high season to the yellows and browns found at seed and harvest time. Its environment is well-adapted to the protection of the fauna. In fact, WWF has set up a reserve in the area for the protection of the wild goose. In this area, many products are exported both in Italy and abroad: tomatoes, wheat, artichokes, olive oil, and wine. Foggia's annual fair of agriculture remains one of the oldest in Italy. |
