Here the landscape is chiefly alpine, characterised by the fine prospect of high peaks, luxuriant tree-clad mountain slopes and the rapid waters of the Avisio river flowing along the bottom of the valley. For lovers of high altitude hikes there is the possibility of staying overnight in the mountain refuges that can be reached thanks to a widespread network of paths, many of which prepared. There are also plenty of opportunities for horse riding and mountain biking. To meet the needs of the tourists, Val di Fiemme has created many sports facilities (gyms, swimming pools, sports palaces, tennis courts) and recreational amenities (cinemas, discos, fitness tracks, bowling alleys). |
