The river Avisio flows through the valley and it is surrounded by the most spectacular and famous Dolomite peaks, such as the Sella Group, Sassolungo, the Catinaccio with Torri del Vajolet and the Marmolada. There are 100 km of ski tracks and many opportunities for recreation with gyms, tennis courts, swimming pools, fitness centres, outdoor sports grounds, skating rings, discos etc. Paths and prepared routes allow you to climb the Dolomite peaks (some of which can also be reached by cable car) and along the various routes there are many alpine refuges. The Val di Fassa sleddog-race is famous all over Europe. |
