Off the coast of Trapani, washed by a shallow sea, there are the islands of the Egadi Archipelago: Favignana, Marettimo and Levanzo. Favignana is the largest island in the Egadi - considered the pearl of the archipelago. The holiday spirit moves young and adults towards the island and its crystal-clear wates. Nature, despite all man's attacks, shows off her beauty. But to know the island really well you have to go down inside the old tufa quarries, deep and humid, which still bear the marks of the long handsaws used to hew out the blocks which were carried away on sailing-ships. A boat trip will allow you to discover the grottoes opening out to the sea, as well as isolated and almost inacessible beaches. |
