As you go along the Tyrrhenian riviera, Calabria is immediately revealed in all its beauty. Crystal-clear water, solitary beaches, and enchanting sceneries characterize this coast. Here you find the most important spa in Calabria: the Terme Luigiane with waters containing sodium chloride, sodium iodine, bromine and sulphur, known in antiquity; they are used for mud treatments, baths and inhalations. Another town of great attraction is Paola which is also a very popular seaside resort. The main attraction here is the Sanctuary of San Francesco, which developed around the site where, in 1435, the saint founded a chapel dedicated to St. Francis of Assisi. |
