Among the biggest and finest bays in Sicily, the Gulf of Castellamare comprises some of the most beautiful places in Trapani province. The gulf is a set of environments which to their spectacular beauty - splendid coasts, to the east low and open to the west high, jagged, and over them a mountain chain with wild beauty - add major biological, with some ecological niches which are unique in Sicily. A wonderful Arabian castle dominates the gulf. On 19th and 21st of August the famous Maria SS. del Soccorso feast when 10.000 night lights are placed above the sea. Lastly, there is the splendid scenario of Zingaro, the happy natural paradise which is miraculously intact in its primitive beauty. |
