The north-western area includes a wide area going from Fiumicino to lake Bracciano. Here you may visit interesting sites, not only from an archaeological and monumental point of view, but also from a naturalistic one. Lake Bracciano is an ancient crater lake, situated inside the Sabatini Mountains' crater. It is surrounded by the green colouring of woods, gardens, olive groves, and is dominated by the imposing Odescalchi Castle. Here sport lovers may practice sailing regatta, rowing and windsurfing competitions or else enjoy the landscape horse-riding. |
