La Torriola is a splendid country villa with only 5 charming self catering apartments with breathtaking view upon Todi (Perugia), ideal location to reach with short drive the main sites of Umbria and Tuscany and be back for a relaxing massage or a swim before dinner. You can decide from day to day whether to take a dip in the swimming pool or rest in the shade of the olive grove, to take a walk in the woods to gather mushrooms or to stroll up and down the alleyways of Todi in search of curiosities to buy. The warmth of the hand-made bricks, the old-world charm of the roof tiles, the chiaroscuro effect of the inlaid wood are evocative of long gone eras when man followed nature’s rhythms trustingly. You can tackle excursions on foot or by mountain bike, but also relax lazing in the sun or in the fully equipped solarium. The complex is completely fenced in for the protection of the small animals and birds such as pheasants, hares and squirrels that you may come across on your walks. Using completely natural methods we produce: Extra virgin olive oil that is cold-pressed in an old oil-mill nearby (come in November and you can help to pick and press the olives, and sample the result on "bruschetta"), red and white table wine. Don’t expect anything but genuine and natural wine, as we prefer to dissatisfy perfectionists in favour of those who are not lovers of additives.
