The Hotel Paistos has been opened in Paestum in June 1997. It is not far from Paestum, one of the most renowned archaeological areas in the world, and even near the National Park of Cilento.
It has been restored in June 2006.
The Hotel Paistos has 10 rooms, all with private bath, and 7 of them also have a terrace. They are all air-conditioned 24 hours a day, autonomously.
Inside, the hotel has a large hall used for breakfast and lunch. Outside, on the terrace surrounded by plants, dinner is served open-air in spring and summer..
The large sand beach of Paestum is only 200 meters far from the hotel and can be reached on foot through a luxuriant pinewood.
The Hotel also has a free private car park, a motorcycle and bicycle park, and a convenient and large lift to the rooms.
It has an inner restaurant, where we always have a great attention for the gourmet products of our region: Every day for lunch, our guests can enjoy (choosing, among the daily suggested menus, the most proper one for his tastes) the local specialities: from fresh vegetables in season to Tyrrhenian fish, from buffalo mozzarella-cheese to the various noodle sorts cooked following the traditional recipes of Campania, everything always well matched with red and white wines, which our region is rich of (Fiano, Aglianico, Falanghina, etc.), but also with other important national wines.
Continental Breakfast is served on buffet.
Typical character of the Hotel Paistos is its service, always personalized so that guests will be at their ease spending an enjoyable holiday there.
At the reception mailbox can be unloaded without additional costs. Since June 2006 the whole hotel is covered by WI-FI net.
The hotel is in a strategic position for excursions in the surroundings. Paestum and the archaeological zone are at 3 km. The railway station is 4 km far, and from there Salerno is reachable in 30 minutes, Pompei in 45 and Naples in less than one hour
From May 2007 the hotel will have 4 new-built apartments with all comforts, where it is possible to prepare meals, autonomously.
The atmosphere in Hotel Paistos is that of a quiet home, but at the same time attractive, where guests can relax and make new friends. In the late afternoons of summer it is not unusual, back from the beach or from excursions, to meet at the hotel bar for a drink, a talk, a cocktail, a glass of champagne or a homemade ice tea.
